Learn to Paint a Church in the English Country in Watercolor

Discover Unique Watercolor Techniques: A Self-Taught Approach

Looking for a fresh perspective on watercolor painting? This course offers a unique journey into creating impressionistic watercolor art with a surprising sense of realism. Inspired by masters like Constable and Quinton, I developed my own distinctive style after discovering a passion for watercolour in 1980.

As a self-taught artist, I’ll share years of experience, including techniques I believe are never before attempted with watercolor. Forget rigid rules – this is about embracing your instincts and having fun!

What you'll learn:

• Outline Drawing & Materials: I'll provide a printable outline drawing, perfect for transferring to watercolor paper via printing or tracing. I'll also detail the specific watercolor materials I use to achieve my results.
• Step-by-Step Painting Process: The course is structured into "easy to digest" sections, guiding you through each stage of the painting process.
• Paint St. Mary's Church, Romney, Kent: Learn to capture the beauty of this iconic landmark in the "Garden of England."
• Master Essential Elements: Develop skills in painting a stunning sky, realistic trees, lush foliage, tranquil water, and detailed buildings.

This course is ideal for artists of all levels, especially those who have struggled with traditional oil painting or acrylics. You'll gain confidence and discover innovative ways to create beautiful watercolor paintings.
