Start Acrylic Painting: Study and Paint Acrylic Landscapes

Ready to start painting landscapes but don't know where to begin? This course is designed for beginner landscape painters who want to create a successful landscape painting that reflects their unique style.

We'll take a systematic approach to build your painting skills, incorporating meditative warmups, a practical color wheel analysis, and techniques to improve your sketching. You'll gain the confidence to tackle your first landscape painting and develop an artistic toolkit for ongoing creative exploration.

This course isn't just about one painting; it's about cultivating a painting habit and building a lasting relationship with art. You'll practice color and value exercises, create thumbnails and sketches to establish a new sketching routine, and explore stylized preliminary paintings featuring whimsical landscapes. You'll even create a black and white study and a set of mini-abstracts in your favorite colors!

The ultimate goal is to create a full-scale landscape painting (12x12 inches) you'll be proud to display. This course is structured for beginners, providing a solid foundation in landscape painting techniques and encouraging regular, confident practice.

You won't need expensive equipment – a detailed material list is included as a downloadable PDF.
