- Worked as an internal medicine physician at Fukuoka Torikai Hospital in 1970.
- Established Takayama Clinic (Internal Medicine) in Fukuoka City in 1974.
- Studied under Dr. Mutsumune Terashi in 1989.
- Joined Kampo Sanko Juku (Dr. Terashi) in 1994.
- Awarded the Japan Eastern Medicine Association Encouragement Award in 2004.
- Retired from his position as director in 2006 to focus on lectures and writing.
Dr. Takayama now resides in Tokyo, dedicating himself to sharing his extensive knowledge.
