Coach Kevin Dresser's Expertise:

Hired as Virginia Tech’s coach in April 2006, Kevin Dresser transformed the Hokies wrestling program into a national powerhouse. He earned the prestigious Atlantic Coast Conference Wrestling Coach of the Year award four times consecutively. In 2016, he was recognized as Coach of the Year by the National Wrestling Coaches Association.

Prior to his time at Virginia Tech, Dresser achieved remarkable success at the high school level. He led Grundy High School to eight Virginia state titles in eight years. He then built the wrestling program at Christiansburg High School from the ground up, leading them to five consecutive Virginia state team championships. In 2016-17, Coach Dresser accepted the head coaching position at Iowa State University.
