Learn Practical VBS Programming with TIA Portal

This course offers a hands-on introduction to VBS (Visual Basic for Scripting) programming within the TIA Portal environment. Instead of a traditional syntax-focused approach, we'll focus on practical application by working towards a specific project goal. This project-oriented learning method ensures you quickly gain proficiency.

Our primary goal is to master VBS for controlling HMI (Human Machine Interface) object movement using mouse interaction. We'll utilize a custom mouse driver, implemented in C++ as a console application (source code provided).

All exercises are demonstrated in TIA Portal V14, with resources also available for the upgraded TIA Portal V15. Each example is presented using the TIA Portal simulators, initially with a touch panel and subsequently with a PC version.

This course is ideal for VBS beginners, but prior experience with other programming languages will significantly enhance your understanding. If you already possess foundational VBS knowledge, the introductory VBS fundamentals can be skipped.
