Understand the concept of Entropy

For over 20 years, I've taught thermodynamics, and I've noticed a common struggle: entropy. Many students find entropy and exergy particularly challenging concepts in thermodynamics. This online course addresses that directly!

Developed from my online teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic, this course makes understanding entropy accessible to anyone, anywhere. It breaks down the complex idea of entropy step-by-step, starting with the fundamental link between entropy and molecular disorder.

We'll clarify the often-confused relationship between entropy and molecular disorder, and explore how heat transfer is connected to entropy transfer. You'll gain a clear understanding of entropy generation and its role in irreversible processes.

We'll delve into the fascinating Clausius theorem and its significance in discovering the property of entropy. The Clausius inequality provides valuable insights into entropy generation. To solidify your understanding, the course includes plenty of numericals on entropy designed to enhance comprehension.

By the end of this course, you'll not only understand entropy but also appreciate its importance in solving real-world engineering problems. Learn to confidently tackle thermodynamics and unlock deeper insights into energy and its transformations!
