Travel Sketching: Capture a Favourite Place in Watercolor

Discover the joy of travel sketching! This engaging class combines your love for exploration and art. We'll start by selecting a place that resonates with you – whether you venture out in person or embark on an armchair travel adventure using Google Street View.

The course focuses on developing your observational skills. We'll go on a virtual walk, becoming visual detectives to uncover the unique character and details that define a location's sense of place. You'll learn to accurately sketch architectural elements like building shapes, windows, chimneys, and doors, paying attention to those small, telling details.

Then, we'll transform your sketches into vibrant watercolor paintings, capturing the essence and atmosphere of your chosen destination. This class is perfect for beginners and requires no special equipment – just your imagination and a willingness to explore!
