In this course, we'll focus on a specific and beautiful application of Sumi-e: depicting bamboo. You'll learn two distinct techniques for rendering bamboo leaves:

• Zōhō: This technique focuses on creating leaves using a single tone of ink, emphasizing form and structure without gradation.
• Rohō: Explore the art of using gradation of ink to create more nuanced and realistic bamboo leaves.
