Solo Mandolin: Chord-Melody Playing Made Easy

Unlock a new dimension in your mandolin playing! This course teaches you how to play melodies and chords simultaneously, instantly enriching your solo performances with a fuller, more resonant sound – a technique often seen in classical guitar.

Here's what you'll learn:

• Chord Creation from Scales: No need to be a scale expert! We clearly introduce the necessary scales within the lessons, and provide guidance on how to easily find them yourself. Build your understanding at your own pace.
• Mastering Fretboard Notes: Forget memorizing every note immediately. We use clear diagrams and include a comprehensive "Notes on the Fretboard" chart and detailed PDF explaining how to incorporate chord tones into your melodies. Easy reference is key!
• Adding Chords to Melodies: Discover the art of seamlessly blending chords and melodies for a richer, more musical sound. This technique will elevate your mandolin playing and add depth to your solo performances.
• Essential Chord Shapes: A basic understanding of common chord shapes like G Major, D Major, and C Major will greatly enhance your learning experience.
• Practical Song Application: We'll work through three songs together, focusing on integrating chordal accompaniment rather than complex rhythms. This makes learning accessible and enjoyable.
