Satan, is not who you think he is.

Understanding the Role of Satan in Christianity

For a long time, the figure of Satan has received undue attention or been largely overlooked within Christian teachings. A key biblical truth about the devil is that he is consistently dealt with, defeated, and cast out. The Bible doesn't explicitly outline a specific "deliverance ministry," but it clearly shows the approach: confront and expel him whenever he appears.

The devil's power stems primarily from influencing individuals through temptation, lies, and deception. He has historically been a source of sin, a murderer, and a deceiver from the very beginning. Jesus's arrival was to undo the works of the devil, specifically addressing the issue of sin.

Overcoming the Devil

The path to overcoming the devil lies in understanding our complete redemption through the cross. The devil's influence is limited to our earthly realm; he cannot operate in heaven. It's crucial to understand that Satan is not Lucifer, a fallen archangel, or an ex-worship leader. The Bible reveals that Satan was a created being, positioned within the created order, akin to the animal kingdom.

The presence of evil, represented by Satan, is essential for humanity to exercise its free will and make righteous choices. Just as Jesus declared, "I have all authority over you," we too can resist temptation and command the devil to depart. This principle empowers us to stand firm against his influence, mirroring Christ's victory over temptation in the wilderness.
