Unleash Your Creativity: Animal Illustration & Observational Art
Are you ready to discover hidden creatures and ignite your imagination? Join artist and illustrator Nic on a fun and explorational journey to unlock your inner artist! This class focuses on animal illustration, but the core skill is about seeing the world with fresh eyes.
Ever feel stuck staring at a blank page? Inspiration isn't always found in grand landscapes – it's in the everyday! We'll learn to find it in the mundane, the overlooked, and even the unexpected.
In this class, you'll:
- Develop Observational Skills: Learn to truly see the world around you.
- Boost Your Imagination: Discover how to transform everyday observations into captivating artwork.
- Explore Animal Illustration: Focus on drawing creatures, a favorite subject for many artists.
- Find Inspiration Everywhere: Learn to identify potential subjects for your art in unexpected places.
We'll start with a simple outdoor exercise: capturing photos of everyday objects – clouds, textures like rust and flaking paint, damp surfaces, and even discarded items. Then, we'll dive deeper into these images, uncovering the hidden creatures waiting to be brought to life.
Procreate on iPad: Nic will demonstrate techniques using Procreate on the iPad, but the principles apply to any medium you're comfortable with. No prior art experience is required!
