Public Speaking: How to Write a Speech that Inspires

It's a common truth: most speeches are dull. And that's because effective speech writing isn't typically taught. But here's the good news: communication is a skill, not an innate talent. You can learn to be engaging and confident when speaking in public. The fear of public speaking – that pre-speech anxiety and stage fright – often stems from two key worries: not knowing what to say and doubting the quality of your message. However, these concerns are about the content of your speech, not how you deliver it.

As a speaker coach and Founder of TEDxClapham, I've guided countless individuals to articulate their ideas on prominent stages worldwide. Their speeches have sparked movements, influenced policy, secured funding, and resonated with millions. The secret? Being interesting is a choice, not a gift.
