Picture Books With Photoshop: From Sketch To The Final Art

Join me, Fabio Sardo, an Italian freelance illustrator based in Milan, as I share my process for bringing children's stories to life. I work with a major Italian publisher and this is my first Skillshare class – I'm excited to share my workflow with you!

In this course, you'll discover how to transform a story into captivating visuals, learning to:

This class is designed for beginner illustrators eager to learn digital illustration for children's books and middle grade books. I work entirely digitally, from initial sketches to final coloring, using a graphics tablet and Photoshop. While you don't need to be a Photoshop expert, a basic understanding will be beneficial.

We'll use a story called “Hannibal’s Rules” as a case study. Your class project will involve illustrating a scene from this story, and I'll guide you through each step of the process. Get ready to learn how to create charming and whimsical children's book art! Let's dive in!
