Learn to Play Authentic Blues and Boogie Piano - Vol. 1

Looking to dive into the world of Blues & Boogie piano? This course is the perfect starting point for piano players of all levels! At Jazzedge, we offer comprehensive lessons designed to build a solid foundation in this exciting genre.

I utilize a foundational approach in all my lessons, ensuring each concept builds upon the last to refine your piano technique and elevate your skills. You'll master the essential "basic" shuffle groove – the heart of Blues & Boogie – and learn practical licks to improvise over it.

This course covers key elements of Blues piano, including:

• Shuffle groove mastery
• Blues licks for improvisation
• Sliding and crushing notes techniques
• Understanding neighbor chords and suspensions
• Scales and chords specifically used over the blues form
• Developing compelling grooves and licks

Don't just take my word for it! Here's what one of my students, Janet, had to say:

"Willie Myette is a brilliant teacher! Ask any question about your piano playing and you can be confident that he has the knowledge and experience to sort out your problem. His videos are chock-full of great stuff taking you through your chosen lesson step by patient step, and the group coaching sessions give you even more insight into the mysteries of, in my case, jazz piano. I've been learning with him for just two months and I can't believe I'm hearing the sounds that are coming out of my piano now - and it's me playing it! Thank you so much Willie!"
