What is Vedic Astrology?

Vedic astrology is a vital Vedanga, or limb of the Vedas. The word "Veda" originates from the Sanskrit root "vid," meaning knowledge. The Vedas are considered to contain profound wisdom about life, death, and the universe. However, their complexity necessitates foundational knowledge. The Vedangas, six disciplines, were developed to prepare individuals to understand the Vedas.

Jyotish, meaning "divine light," is the ancient science that explores the influences of celestial bodies on human affairs – past, present, and future. It transcends geographical boundaries and timelines, offering a holistic perspective.
