La elección de mi vocación

Choosing a career is a pivotal decision, significantly impacting academic success and future fulfillment. A poor choice can lead to academic disillusionment, school dropout, and even professional frustration (Alarcón, 2019). "La elección de mi vocación" (Choosing My Calling) is designed to empower participants to discover their true calling and pinpoint the ideal educational paths, courses, or workshops to pursue – leading to a fulfilling and successful career.

This course focuses on helping you:

• Uncover Your Skills & Preferences: Identify your innate abilities and personal interests – crucial internal factors for making informed career decisions.
• Understand External Influences: Recognize the external factors that shape career choices, such as market trends and societal expectations.
• Structure Your Career Options: Develop a clear framework of potential career paths to guide your higher education choices.

The course objectives are grounded in a comprehensive understanding of career indecision, drawing from the theoretical frameworks of John Holland's (1997) vocational typology, Bronfenbrenner and Morris's (1998) bioecological theory, and practical insights from experienced career counselors. We emphasize the importance of aligning your educational and professional trajectory with strong self-awareness. Learn how to build a solid educational and career plan based on self-knowledge and a clear understanding of your potential.
