Get ready to deepen your martial arts practice with this focused course on the Shaolin Stick Technique! This program is designed as a series of short, regular classes incorporating a warm-up, stretching, and instruction on a new technique each time.

We'll dive deep into the fundamentals of the Shaolin stick, exploring powerful swinging and rotating methods. You'll also learn the foundational Jibengun – essential for building a strong base. This course is specifically structured to prepare you for advanced teaching and is a key component of the Level 3 Shaolin program, serving as a crucial choice for your test.

The stick is revered as the "Grandparent of Weapons" in Shaolin tradition, acting as the bedrock for mastering other traditional weapons. It’s the very first weapon Shaolin Monks learn, making it the most studied and fundamental in the entire program.

Following Shaolin tradition, martial arts training progresses from Quan (boxing) to weapons. The standard order of weapon learning is: stick (Gun), saber (Dao), sword (Jian), spear (Qiang), and halberd (Da-dao). These five weapons are considered the core of Shaolin martial arts study.
