Even in its early days, Java demonstrated immense potential. Its key strength lies in its platform independence, allowing code to run seamlessly on virtually any device without requiring recompilation. This "write once, run anywhere" capability is a significant advantage over languages like C++, where platform-specific adjustments are often necessary. Java utilizes a virtual machine to execute code, making it highly portable.

The demand for Java developers has remained exceptionally strong over the years. In Slovakia, skilled Java programmers can command salaries of 6000+ euros per month, reflecting the high value placed on this skillset.

My Perspective as a Java Team Leader
