Steve Nunno’s impressive coaching career includes guiding Shannon Miller to five Olympic medals (1992) and two gold medals (1996). With nearly two decades of experience coaching elite athletes, Nunno served as Head Coach at the University of Oklahoma for six seasons and previously owned the renowned Dynamo Gymnastics Club in Oklahoma City. Since relocating to Tampa, Florida in 2011, he has expanded his influence by purchasing four gyms throughout Florida, including locations in Lakeland, Daytona Beach, West Palm Beach, and North Port.

Understanding the difference between compulsory gymnastics and optional gymnastics is key to a successful transition. In compulsory gymnastics, gymnasts in the same level perform identical routines (levels 1-5). USA Gymnastics developed these routines to build a solid foundation before progressing to optional levels. Optional gymnastics allows for more individual expression, with gymnasts selecting their own music and choreography (on Floor Exercise), while adhering to level-specific guidelines.
