The foundation of music reading lies in two key areas:

1. Pitch Recognition: Identifying what note is being played.
2. Rhythm Reading: Understanding how long a note or rest should be held.

These two elements are fundamental to solfeggio – the ability to read and perform music on any instrument or with your voice.

Many solfeggio methods incorrectly combine pitch and rhythm from the start, placing an unnecessary burden on beginners. Scientific research shows our brains are more effective when learning new skills one at a time. We only learn to multitask when skills are already automated.

That's why this course focuses exclusively on mastering note pitch reading. Rhythm reading will be covered in a future course! Get a solid foundation in note identification and prepare for a smoother learning journey.
