HVAC System and Equipment's

Explore the world of HVAC systems and equipment! This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the various systems used to create comfortable and healthy indoor environments. We'll delve into the fundamental components that deliver conditioned air and ensure optimal indoor air quality for building occupants.

Here's a breakdown of the HVAC equipment we'll cover:

• All-Air Systems: Discover how air is used as the primary thermal energy transfer medium. We'll explore different types, including:
  • Single Zone and Multi-Zone systems
  • Constant Air Volume (CAV) and Variable Air Volume (VAV) systems
  • Terminal Reheat applications
  • Dual Duct configurations
• All-Water Systems: Learn about systems that utilize heated and cooled water for distribution. These systems are often more compact due to water's higher heat capacity and density. We'll examine:
  • Fan-Coil Units
  • Air-Water Systems
• Essential HVAC Components: Gain familiarity with key devices and components, including:
  • Mixed-Air Plenum and Outdoor Air Control
  • Air Filters
  • Supply Fans
  • Air Handling Units (AHUs)
  • Exhaust/Relief Fans and Air Outlets
  • Outdoor Air Intake
  • Ductwork
  • Terminal Devices
  • Return Air Systems
  • Heating and Cooling Coils
  • Self-Contained Heating/Cooling Units
  • Cooling Towers
  • Air-Cooled Chillers
  • Absorption Chillers
  • Centrifugal Chillers
• Water Chiller Systems
• Humidification and Dehumidification Equipment

By the end of this course, you'll be well-equipped to analyze and understand a wide range of HVAC systems and their applications. You'll gain the knowledge to confidently study and utilize various HVAC equipment for effective climate control.
