About the Instructor:

JJ has been teaching the Chinese flute for 12 years in Singapore, sharing their passion with students across numerous schools. A graduate of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and with a Diploma of Merit from the Beijing Conservatory of Music, JJ has also won national music competitions. Beyond teaching, JJ is a founder of a symphony orchestra and a member of multiple national Chinese Orchestras. They are also a piano teacher and play the Western flute.

Frustrated by the lack of accessible English-language resources on the Chinese Dizi, JJ created this course to share the fundamentals and unlock the beauty of this captivating instrument for a wider audience.
