Healthcare Project Leadership 101

Often, formal training doesn't equip us with the skills needed to excel in these multifaceted roles. This course bridges that gap, providing a comprehensive introduction to essential tools and techniques for successful organizational change in healthcare.

This course integrates key concepts from healthcare project management, change management in healthcare, and communication basics. You'll learn:

• Project Basics: Understand the project life cycle and practical tools to ensure success in each phase of a healthcare project.
• Change Management Models: Gain insights into navigating organizational change effectively throughout the project lifecycle. Learn methods to address resistance and promote buy-in.
• Effective Communication: Develop techniques to enhance team communication and improve overall communication within your organization.

To reinforce learning and encourage immediate application, the course includes practical activities.

Continuing Education Credits:

• PMP® Certificate Holders: This course content is suitable for self-logging PDU credits. You can claim 1 PDU in Ways of Working and 1.5 PDUs in Leadership. Please note that PDUs must be manually entered into your PMI® dashboard. Contact me with any questions about logging your PDUs.
• Physical Therapists/PTAs (West Virginia): This course is approved for 2 continuing education credits by the West Virginia Board of Physical Therapy (WVBOPT) for the year 2025. (1 credit for Project Healthcare Project Management and 1 credit for Change Management in Healthcare). Message me for details on obtaining the WVBOPT course certificate. Please note that credit is awarded only once per participant. Participants licensed in other states are responsible for verifying acceptance of this approval by their state board.
