Discover the World of Digital Art with Paintology: Draw the Mona Lisa!
Hello! I'm Ferdouse, and I'm excited to share my journey into digital art using the Paintology drawing app. Coming from a traditional art background, I've been amazed by the power and accessibility of this medium. You can create any type of drawing effortlessly – no special materials needed! With most people already owning a phone or tablet, it's incredibly easy to get started.
In this course, we'll tackle a classic: Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa. This iconic painting has captivated audiences for centuries with its seemingly simple composition yet profound depth. While countless interpretations exist, none truly capture the painting's inherent beauty.
This class is part of my Great Master Series, where we explore the creative processes of famous artists by recreating their works using the Paintology app. The Paintology drawing app is free to download on the Google Play Store – just search for "Paintology"!
I'll be demonstrating this drawing on my Samsung P30 smartphone, utilizing the Grayscale mode within Paintology. I'll be using a standard stylus (though you can absolutely use your fingers!).
Why Grayscale mode? It's designed to help you master tonal balance. Focusing on tones – the subtle variations in light and shadow – is crucial for developing strong painting and drawing skills. By stripping away color, we can truly hone our observational skills and understand how light shapes form.
Ready to unlock your artistic potential? Join me and let's explore the beauty of digital drawing together! I hope to see you in class!
