Gouache Paintings with Black and White - Learn to Paint Magical Night Skies

Discover the versatility of gouache painting in this engaging class! Gouache is a fantastic water-based medium, often compared to watercolor, but with a key difference: it's opaque. This means you can build up layers of color to achieve solid, vibrant results, unlike the transparency of traditional watercolor.

Think of gouache as a bridge between watercolor and acrylics. You can easily manipulate its consistency by adding water to create washes and transparent effects, or leave it thicker for opaque coverage. The colors blend beautifully, offering a range of possibilities for artists of all levels.

In this course, we'll dive deep into the power of simplicity. We'll be focusing exclusively on black and white gouache painting. This intentional limitation will help you truly master composition, explore texture, and understand tonal values – pushing you to see and imagine beyond color.
