German for Engineers - Level B1 B2 - Deutsch für Ingenieure

Looking to advance your career in engineering? This German for Engineers course is specifically designed for engineering students and engineers seeking study or work opportunities in German-speaking countries.

This course builds upon a foundation of at least A2 German, with B1 or B2 experience being highly beneficial. You'll delve into the grammar and structure of real-world German used in technical fields. We analyze sample sentences accessible with basic knowledge, progressing to more complex texts drawn from technical education and engineering communication.

As of July 2020, the course offers 21 lectures (4 hours of video). We're expanding to cover all B1 and B2 level grammar topics with the addition of 9 more lectures, bringing the total to 30 lectures!

We understand the diverse nature of engineering. While informatics and computer science are prominent in the initial sections, we strive for a balanced approach, highlighting examples from various disciplines including materials science, electrical engineering, and computer science. You'll learn subject-specific language and terminology relevant to these fields.

The course emphasizes the practical application of grammatical structures alongside useful phrases for everyday communication. The core grammar of technical German is largely the same as everyday German – the difference lies in the frequency of certain structures. Expect to encounter more frequent use of the passive voice and its alternatives in technical texts.
