Evolution. A heterodox view

Explore an Alternative View of Evolution

Are you questioning the conventional understanding of evolution? This course delves into a heterodox theory of evolution, offering a fresh perspective beyond the widely accepted Darwinism. While Darwinism has long been dominant, and Intelligent Design is a prominent challenger, both approaches face significant challenges.

Discover a third way to think about how life evolves – a framework that bridges the gap between purely mechanistic Darwinism and the controversial Intelligent Design theory. This unique approach is rooted in physiological principles, offering a deeper understanding of the fundamental nature of life itself.

As a physiologist, I bring a distinct perspective to the study of evolution. Physiology, the science of how living organisms function, reveals life's inherent qualities. Physiologists are uniquely positioned to appreciate that life isn't simply a collection of chemical reactions; it possesses characteristics unlike anything else in the universe.

This course highlights the unique attributes of life, particularly its purposefulness and intentionality. Modern evolutionary theory often disregards these aspects, while Intelligent Design misinterprets them. We'll explore how evolution, like all biological processes, is a profoundly purposeful and intentional process.

Learn to critically evaluate the leading theories of evolution and gain a deeper appreciation for the complexities of life's origins and development. This course is ideal for anyone seeking a more nuanced and comprehensive understanding of evolutionary biology.
