EN-OPEN-A1-A3-01 - Training Course for UAS Pilots (Drones)

Unlock the world of drone operations with our comprehensive training course, designed to help you achieve the OPEN A1-A3 qualification! This course is specifically structured around EU Regulation 2019-947 (UAS_OPEN_020), providing you with the knowledge and skills needed to fly drones legally and safely across the European Union.

What does the OPEN A1-A3 qualification allow? It grants you the ability to operate Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) with a maximum take-off mass (MTOM) of up to 900 grams in urban areas and 25 kg in non-urban areas. Crucially, for UAS bearing the C1 marking, the 900-gram limit applies. Note that UAS without the C1 marking have a 500-gram limit (effective from 2023).

Understand the operational restrictions: in non-urban areas, operations are limited to a distance of 150 meters from urban areas and 50 meters from crowds or groups of people.

Exam Preparation:

To obtain your OPEN A1-A3 qualification, you'll need to successfully complete an exam on a dedicated website managed by the National Civil Aviation Authority. In Italy, the exam costs €31 and consists of 40 questions, with a time limit of 60 minutes.

Expert Instruction:

Learn from Eng. Fazio Michele, an experienced instructor and owner of a training center recognized by the Italian Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC - ref. ENAC.CA.APR.043). Eng.
