Discover How Drawing Will Improve Your Watercolor Art

Unlock Your Watercolor Potential: Solve Common Painting Challenges

Are you frustrated with common watercolor painting problems? This class is designed to help you overcome those hurdles and elevate your art! Based on real submissions from my Skillshare watercolor community – including both successes and areas for improvement – we'll dive into practical solutions. I'll analyze artwork, offer constructive critiques, and provide actionable assignments to boost your skills.

Here's what we'll cover:

• Mastering Basic Drawing: The #1 issue for watercolor artists is often foundational drawing skills. We'll build a strong base to support your paintings.
• Painting Multiple Subjects: Learn how to effectively incorporate more than one object into your watercolor compositions, creating better scale and relationships between elements.
• Understanding Perspective in Watercolor: Develop the crucial skill of creating depth and realism in your two-dimensional paintings.
• Values Hierarchy for Depth: Discover how strategically placing values (light and dark) can dramatically enhance the depth and impact of your watercolor scenes.

We'll start with the fundamentals: drawing simple subjects. A solid drawing is the bedrock of any great watercolor painting. A weak drawing will inevitably lead to a weak painting. We'll then systematically address each topic, breaking down complex concepts into easy-to-understand steps.

Get ready for a fun and engaging learning experience! You'll even find practice reels with timed images to help you hone your drawing and painting abilities. Let's get started and transform your watercolor art!
