Bible Gateway foundation; Written Torah and the Oral Torah

Delve into a fascinating exploration of biblical interpretation with this thought-provoking course from Bible Gateway, inspired by the insightful words of Jean-Jacques Rousseau.

This course examines a historical debate surrounding the messianic prophecies. Rousseau noted a clear interpretation at Sorbonne University in the 17th century – that these prophecies undeniably point to Jesus. However, he also highlights the contrasting view held by Rabbis in Amsterdam, who maintained these prophecies were not connected to Jesus.

The course explores the profound impact of historical context on understanding scripture. Rousseau believed true understanding requires a space for open dialogue, free from fear – a space the Jewish people could only achieve with their own sovereign nation, study halls, and universities.

Now, with the return of the Hebrew nation to its ancestral land, the world is finally gaining access to the ancient wisdom and unique perspectives that have sustained them for centuries. This Bible Gateway course offers a unique opportunity to uncover those secrets and insights.

Discover the fundamental difference between the modern world's approach to the Bible and the traditional understanding of the Old Hebrew nation. These insights are universally relevant, transcending gender, race, and cultural background. Ultimately, we are all connected as children of the same divine source.

This course challenges conventional Bible study methods and proposes a new approach. Explore how a shift in perspective could foster greater understanding, empathy, and positive relationships across the globe, leading to a more harmonious world. Learn how a different way of reading the Bible can positively influence us all.
