This course provides a comprehensive guide to music production, specifically focusing on creating background music (BGM). You'll gain practical skills and knowledge to start composing your own tracks.

Here's what you'll learn:

• Sound Source Setup: Master the download and installation of essential sound sources, including Ample Guitar M Lite II.
• Music Theory Fundamentals: Understand the core elements of music, including musical components, note names, and the "4s law" for creating compelling musical structures.
• Rhythm Creation & Input: Learn to create and input rhythms for intros, verses (A-melodies), and choruses (using pattern libraries).
• Chord Progression Creation & Input: Develop the ability to craft and input chord progressions for intros, A-melodies, and choruses, leveraging pre-made pattern collections.
• Melody Creation Fundamentals: Discover the notes suitable for melodies, understanding octaves and melodic construction techniques.
• Melody Creation & Input: Learn to create and input melodies for intros, A-melodies, and choruses, utilizing pattern libraries for inspiration.
• Arrangement Basics: Gain insights into the purpose and process of music arrangement, including effective use of reference tracks.
• Mixing & Exporting: Master the techniques for balancing the volume of your track and exporting it as a finished audio file.

We utilize Cubase and free sound sources throughout the course. Downloadable materials provide detailed instructions on sound source download and installation, making it easy to get started with music production even if you're new to Cubase.

This course emphasizes creating rhythm, chord progressions, and melodies using existing song structures and pattern libraries. For rhythm, we'll adapt common patterns found in existing tracks. For chord progressions, you'll select and arrange from a library of frequently used progressions. Melody creation will involve modifying existing melodic phrases to create unique variations.
