Aviation Security Threats

The aviation industry prioritizes safety above all else, and flying remains one of the safest modes of transportation. However, the high volume of passengers and aircraft daily makes airports and planes potential targets for terrorism and crime. This course explores the historical evolution of security measures developed to protect passengers, staff, aircraft, and airport facilities from unlawful interference.

Discover how past threats have fundamentally shaped aviation security protocols. We'll delve into the key events that led to changes in passenger processing, explaining why you're required to remove shoes or adhere to the 100ml liquid rule at airport security checkpoints.

Learn about the major factors driving the industry's focus on security and the measures in place to prevent dangerous items from entering aircraft, airports, and countries. We'll examine both established security practices and emerging threats facing aviation today. Gain a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and responses involved in maintaining a secure flying environment.
