What truly defines art? This course delves into the core of creativity, exploring what transforms simple elements – a drawing, a painting, a recording – into compelling artwork. While technical skill is valuable (think mastering drawing techniques or painting techniques like rendering clouds), a powerful art idea is paramount.
This class shifts the focus from purely technical mastery to the emotional and intellectual depth of your art. Forget endless tutorials on how to – we’ll focus on what to create. Learn to develop meaningful art ideas and infuse them with emotion, feeling, and intellectual thought.
You'll discover a new artmaking process to elevate your work, gain the confidence to move beyond just learning craft, and receive a practical guide to developing art ideas that resonate with you.
