About Dr. Hiroshi Takayama:

Dr. Hiroshi Takayama graduated from Kyushu University Medical School in 1962. He joined the Third Internal Medicine Department of the same university in 1963. He began self-study of Kampo medicine in 1969 and worked in internal medicine at Fukuoka Torikai Hospital in 1970. In 1974, he established the Takayama Clinic (Internal Medicine) in Fukuoka City. He studied under Dr. Mutsumune Terashi in 1980 and joined Kampo Sanko Juku (Dr. Terashi) in 1984. Dr. Takayama received the Japan Eastern Medicine Association Encouragement Award in 2005. He retired from his practice in 2007 to focus on lectures and writing.
